Wentel Engineering Holdings Berhad ("Wentel Engineering" or the "Company") is demonstrating strong progress, concluding the first half of 2024 with a cumulative revenue of RM54.55 million. The Company’s revenue in the second quarter ended 30 June 2024 (“Q2FY2024”) increased by RM3.00 million, reflecting an 11.65% surge compared to the immediate preceding quarter. This growth is primarily attributed to a significant increase in orders for the assembly of finished products segment. For the Q2FY2024, the Company registered a consolidated Profit Before Tax of RM5.92 million.
Wong Chun Wei, Executive Director of Wentel Engineering, highlighted that the continuing strong performance reaffirms Wentel Engineering’s outstanding operational capabilities and strategic execution, positioning the group favourably for sustained growth in the latter half of 2024.
“We remain committed to leveraging the group’s competitive strengths and expanding its market presence to drive continued value creation for stakeholders. This commitment will be further supported by our recent expansion with the new manufacturing plant in Johor Bahru, which is targeted to commence operations in the first half of 2026. The new plant is expected to substantially enhance our production capacity and operational efficiencies, positioning us to capitalise on the resurgence of global trade economies. As demand rises, we are confident in achieving satisfactory financial performance for the fiscal year ending 2024,” said Mr. Wong.
The new facility, spanning 426,074 square feet of land area, is designed for fabricating semifinished metal products, fabricating metal parts, and assembly operations, which is expected to boost production capacity and accommodate more orders. The facility will include two blocks of single-storey factory with double-storey offices and two blocks of workers’ hostels, totalling a built-up area of 299,701 square feet.
“We are expanding our computer numerical control (“CNC”) machining capabilities to target customers with higher precision requirements. Our new manufacturing plant will support larger orders, enhance efficiency, and enable better manufacturing techniques. This facility will improve our ability to produce precision machined parts for existing and new customers, addressing diverse needs in precision, accuracy, and material specifications,” Mr. Wong further elaborated.
With a history spanning over two decades since the group’s establishment in 2000, Wentel Engineering group is principally involved in the fabrication of semifinished metal products, fabrication of metal parts and assembly of finished products for the manufacturers of several industries such as security screening equipment, CNC machines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, medical diagnostics equipment, passenger coaches and industrial 3D printers.
