MUFG Sells Its Stake In Cimb Group Holdings Berhad

CIMB Group Holdings Berhad ("CIMB" or "the Group") today announced that Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group’s (“MUFG”) banking entity, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (“BTMU”) had sold its entire stake of 412 million CIMB shares (equivalent to a 4.6% stake) via an overnight block trade. The divestment was part of MUFG's strategic global master plan which included a review of its portfolio of existing investment in affiliates. 

MUFG’s Asia & Oceania network spanned 15 countries, including Malaysia, where MUFG’s presence had been enhanced by its capital investment in CIMB, which was made in various stages from 1974 onwards. Notwithstanding the divestment, both MUFG and CIMB would maintain their current collaboration founded on a mutually beneficial 40-year partnership.

Boutique property developer, Puchong Kinrara Development (PKD), has rebranded itself as Meraki Land Sdn Bhd following its new partnership with a fund managed by PGIM Real Estate. 

PGIM Real Estate is the real estate investment business of PGIM, the global investment management businesses of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU).

Bön Estates Forms Strategic Partnership With Kerjaya Prospek

Premium boutique developer Bön Estates Sdn Bhd has achieved a major milestone with the appointment of reputable construction firm Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kerjaya Prospek Group Berhad as the main contractor for its popular “The Estate” luxury project in South Bangsar.

Signed the deal worth RM291 million yesterday at Bon Estates Office in Bangsar, it brings the total outstanding orderbook of Kerjaya Prospek to RM3.15 billion. This project marks Kerjaya Prospek’s seventh contract award for the year and brings the year-to-date contract wins to RM1.16 billion.
