People management platform Employment Hero launches in Malaysia to support SMEs during CMCO work-from-home directive and help them compete and grow on a global stage

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 October 2020: People management platform Employment Hero has today announced its expansion into Malaysia to better connect employers and employees in a new world of work, and empower local SMEs during the government-mandated work-from-home directive during Malaysia’s Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Employment Hero has launched localised versions of its signature people, payroll and benefits solution in Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and the United Kingdom to help SMEs in these markets better navigate common HR processes, as well as people and performance management.

Funding Societies and TMIM Team Up To Provide Digital Financing Access and Support to MSMEs

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 October 2020 – Funding Societies Malaysia, the largest peer-to-peer (P2P) financing platform in the country and Southeast Asia recently collaborated with TM Info-Media Sdn Bhd (TMIM), a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) to offer business financing solutions for the underserved and unserved local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The mission kicks off into high gear with the prime utilisation of Yellow Pages’ digital platform, a product of TMIM and also the leading digital business directory in Malaysia.

Microsoft Malaysia to boost customer experience with new leadership appointments

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 October 2020 – Microsoft Malaysia has appointed two new additions to its leadership team to further strengthen and accelerate the digital growth of customers in Malaysia. Azizah Ali has been appointed as the Director of Small, Medium and Corporate (SMC) Group, while Millie Yong will lead as Director of Solution Sales, in line with the company’s focus on helping customers meet their digital needs in the new normal.

Azizah has been with Microsoft for more than two decades, helming various leadership roles in the Asia Pacific region. In her prior role as the Director of Public Sector Group, she played a key role in kickstarting national initiatives like the eGovernment project with the Malaysian government. Azizah was subsequently appointed as the Country Manager for Microsoft Brunei in 2009, during which she led partnership initiatives between the Government of Brunei and Microsoft to establish the Brunei Software Development Centre.

Top ICT Students to Represent Asia Pacific in Huawei ICT Competition Finals

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 23: The 2019-2020 Huawei Asia Pacific ICT Competition, under the theme of "Connection, Glory, Future," successfully concluded on Wednesday. Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) from Indonesia won champions of both the Network and Cloud tracks in this regional finals, and will represent the Asia Pacific region in the global finals.

This year, the Huawei ICT competition in Asia Pacific attracted 4051 participants from 65 ICT Academies of six countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, India and Thailand; to compete in two technological tracks of Network and Cloud.

“We strive to develop a healthy ICT Talent Ecosystem where we shall work with our Partners, our Customers and the society, altogether to produce ICT engineering talents – quality people with ICT skill, with engineering capability for now, and for the future,” said Tony Cao, President of Huawei Asia Pacific Enterprise Business Group.
