MALAYSIA, 11 August 2020 – Fortinet, a global leader in broad, integrated and automated cybersecurity solutions, urges Malaysia’s healthcare providers to beef up cyber defence as cybercriminals are targeting the sector now more than ever.
The demand for healthcare in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is growing rapidly driving healthcare organisations to focus on digitisation and innovation. Faster and better networks have also allowed for the growth of telemedicine. The global telemedicine market is expected to grow at a rate of 16.9% annually to reach US$ 55.61 billion by 2025 from an estimated US$ 25.49 billion in 2020.
Kuala Lumpur, 10 August 2020 – Malaysians are concerned about taking public transportation in the face of the COVID-19 situation, preferring to self-drive as a safety measure. The results of a recent survey by a tech-driven automotive content hub, WapCar also found that respondents are prudently opting to reduce spending and lower their budget for a car.
The findings reflect the car sales trend as well as the spike in demand for used cars in Malaysia in June. The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) recently reported June 2020’s sales volume was 5% higher than June 2019’s. At the same time, the Federation of Motor and Credit Companies Association of Malaysia (FMCCAM) noted a 100% year-on- year growth in June’s used car sales. MAA expects the sales volume in July 2020 to be better, trending towards cheaper and fuel efficient cars. The government’s exemption on sales tax until the end of the year will also help to spur demand.
Most organisations in Malaysia have a multi-cloud strategy, but typically one cloud provider will be given the heavier load with mission-critical operations. Especially in the public sector, there is limited capacity to work from home due to unstructured and scattered cloud service adoption to access and cross reference data.
According to Gartner, it is predicted that by 2025, 75% of the data generated by enterprises will be created and processed outside traditional, centralised data centres or cloud environments. Over recent years, some of the mature enterprises have grown increasingly interested in data ops. These enterprises are embracing data for better insights and business resilience.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 10 August 2020 – Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, whose primary manufacturing and order fulfilment location is in Penang, Malaysia, and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., have enabled the Global Certification Forum (GCF) to activate certification of a cellular vehicle-to-everything communications (C-V2X) test plan.
The test plan was achieved using Keysight's RF/RRM DVT & Conformance Toolset and the Qualcomm® 9150 C-V2X Platform, a standalone C-V2X modem chipset with global navigation satellite system (GNSS). Test cases focused on radio frequency (RF) and radio resource management (RRM) performance verification of devices used for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) deployment scenarios. These test cases were validated at the GCF-hosted conformance agreement group (CAG) #63 meeting in July 2020 and enabled the GCF to initiate radio certification of a C-V2X test plan based on 3GPP Release 14.
