KUALA LUMPUR, 15 July 2020 – eBay is today launching “Global 24/7”, an e-Commerce accelerator programme specifically designed to help SMEs leverage eBay’s platform for global export as the economy gradually enters a recovery phase.
This e-Commerce accelerator programme provides start-up incentives, necessary tools, trainings, and assistance for business owners to tap into eBay’s global marketplace of over 174 million active buyers. The programme is extended to markets across the Southeast Asia region which includes Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam.
KUALA LUMPUR, 14 July 2020 – Malaysia’s leading eCommerce platform Lazada Malaysia continues to direct its efforts to support micro and small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through the government’s Micro and SMEs E-commerce Campaign, with a ringgit-for-ringgit co-funding program under the digital-led National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA). The initiative aims to benefit an estimated 30,000 local MSMEs to help them mitigate the impact of pandemic by going digital, to prepare for the post COVID-19 era.

KUALA LUMPUR, 14th July 2020: Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Tesco) and NE Suria Satu Sdn Bhd (NESS), a joint-venture company of PETRONAS and NEFIN Group, have entered into the largest long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) (Tesco-NESS PPA) for solar energy in Malaysia. The first phase of the Tesco-NESS PPA will see the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on the rooftop spaces of 15 Tesco stores nationwide. The Tesco-NESS PPA will run for 20 years until 2040.
Once the installation is completed in October 2020, the solar PV panels will collectively generate about 18 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean energy per year, thus reducing approximately 13,624 tonnes of carbon emissions into the atmosphere. The power generated from the solar PV panels can also light up as many as 104 Olympic-sized stadiums simultaneously or 804,905 three-bedroom homes for an entire year.
