Kuala Lumpur, June 2020 – The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) of Malaysia has recently joined forces with Shopee to raise funds for NKF's underprivileged kidney failure patients. The collaboration between Malaysia’s first NGO to offer haemodialysis treatment and the no.1 e-commerce platform in Malaysia will enable Shopee users to donate to NKF and support the fundraising effort.
Malaysians can now click on ShopeePay in their Shopee app, scan the QR code on NKF's website and donate their preferred amount − with all proceeds donated directly to NKF Malaysia.
SUBANG JAYA, 11 JUNE 2020 – Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) is inviting small local businesses to be part of MyDigi Bazaar, a newly introduced category under MyDigi Rewards. MyDigi Bazaar is an initiative to connect small businesses to Digi’s 11 million strong subscriber base, allowing them to list their products and services on the MyDigi app as an alternative marketing platform to reach a larger audience.
All categories of businesses are eligible to apply, including food and beverage, grocery suppliers, apparel distributors, and even business service providers are welcome to list on MyDigi Bazaar without having to pay commissions or listing fees. This allows smaller businesses the opportunity for their brands to be discovered by new customers across Malaysia without having to invest in an online presence.
Kuala Lumpur, 11th June 2020- Since Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), businesses across almost all sectors have reopened to rebuild the country’s economy. That said, experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) believe that COVID-19 will become endemic and will remain prevalent the same way HIV is even after a vaccine is found. Therefore, even as Malaysians now enjoy less limiting movement regulations, we should be prepared to embrace a new normal in workplace culture. This includes normalizing flexible work hours, increased virtual processes, and remote working, among others.
According to a recent internal survey conducted by HealthMetrics, Malaysia’s leading employee wellness and benefits platform, more than 50% of companies were not prepared for flexible hours or working remotely when the Movement Control Order (MCO) began on 18th March. Today, 40% of these companies are still facing challenges and are unable to operate fully. With that, what can companies do to prepare their employees both mentally and physically to work optimally no matter the crisis in the future?
