A returning recipient to the annual event, Kenanga Group was awarded the Best Trading Participant Equity & Financial Derivatives (Champion); Best Institutional Derivatives Trading Participant (Champion); Best Remisier (Champion); Best Overall Derivatives Trading Participant (1st Runner Up); Best Institutional Equities Participating Organisation – Investment Bank (2nd Runner Up); and Best Retail Equities Participating Organisation – Investment Bank (2nd Runner Up) this year, for its achievements in the equity broking and derivatives space
The consistent recognition received in the various categories over the years, in particular winning the ‘Best Trading participant Equity and Financial Derivatives’ for the 16th consecutive year, underscores the Group’s efforts in promoting sustainable performance and growth.

The event was graced by Ministry of Finance Malaysia and deputy secretary general (Investment), Datuk Asri Hamidon; Securities Commission Malaysia chairman, Datuk Syed Zaid Albar; Bursa Malaysia Berhad chairman, Datuk Shireen Ann Zaharah Muhiudeen; as well as Bursa Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer, Datuk Muhammad Umar Swift.
Organised by Bursa Malaysia, the Bursa Excellence Awards 2018 was themed “Outthinking, Outlasting, Outstanding”, a tribute to the market participants who successfully navigate various market cycles through perseverance and sound judgement.
It recognised their agility, innovativeness and versatility in being able to step up to stay relevant in business.
The event featured 18 award categories honouring participating organisations and individuals who helped build the capital market across three segments, namely equities, derivatives and the Islamic capital market.
