Kuala Lumpur, 29 April 2020 – Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading online travel and lifestyle experiences booking platform, through one of its business units, Traveloka Xperience, introduces @HomeXperience, a new online learning section that enables Malaysian users to enjoy exciting and inspirational video content starting from April 24, 2020 on the Traveloka app. Through this initiative, Traveloka Xperience in collaboration with its partners aims to encourage users to stay productive during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period in the country. In addition, @HomeXperience features an additional section where users are able to make a donation to address the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in Malaysia. All the donations will be used to support the Emergency Fund for NGOs Affected by COVID-19 program initiated by NGOhub.asia, a platform that connects various NGOs in the country and solves society’s problems together. The fund program will provide aid, such as sanitation items, hospital fees, and food delivery, to the most vulnerable communities (homeless, elderly, orphans, people with disabilities, and refugees).
During this period, where people’s movements are restricted for the safety and wellbeing of the wider community, Traveloka notices that providing engaging yet informative materials are necessary to keep everyone active while staying at home. Sam Adisai, Regional Head of Marketing Traveloka Xperience stated, “@HomeXperience is aligned with our commitment to enrich the lives of our users by allowing them to enjoy rich and exclusive experiences from their homes. Aside from providing convenience in accessing contents that allow users to stay vibrant, we also encourage users to support other people and be the hero for those battling with COVID-19 pandemic situations by utilizing the donation program embedded in the videos.”
In collaboration with several partners and influencers in the tourism and entertainment industry such as Cody Coex Foo, 5-time beatbox champions, Elvina Chua, an actress, Taipei Fun Pass and many more. @HomeXperience offers a variety of curated exclusive video content, such as beatboxing tutorial, makeup tutorials, cooking recipes, home educational classes, virtual guided tours, workout routines, and many more. There is also a ‘Raya Cara Kita’ content series that covers a range of home tutorials as Malaysians prepare to celebrate Raya a little differently this year. These free video content are also completed with the option for users to donate, in multiples of RM1, RM5, RM10, RM50, to RM100. All the collected funds will be funneled to NGOhub.asia Malaysia to support its donation program to address various situations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting from April 24, 2020, @HomeXperience will feature new motivating videos on a weekly basis. To access @HomeXperience, users can easily follow the steps below:
