BMW Malaysia today handed over a fleet of BMW 5 Series Hybrid with eDrive Technology to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to be utilised at the upcoming Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) 2018.

The fleet will be utilised as the official cars at the landmark conference, taking place from 17th to 22nd September 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in which BMW Malaysia is the Official e-Mobility Partner.

Tourism development will continue to be given due attention by the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-led government in view of the industry's significant contribution to the nation's economy, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said.

She said the industry had become the second largest foreign exchange earner for the country with 25.9 million tourist arrivals and RM82.2 billion in tourism revenue last year.

Southeast Asia’s first robot for material handling, inventory management, metal bending and metal cutting became the highlight of a visit by Johor State International Trade, Investment and Utility Committee Chairman Jimmy Puah Wee Tse to a foreign-owned factory in Frontier Industrial Park here.

Puah had stopped by Hup Fatt Brothers Engineering Sdn Bhd (HFBE) during his working visit last week to Frontier, a pioneer in the Gated, Guarded and Regulated (GGR) concept in Desa Cemerlang developed by WB Land Sdn Bhd.
