RHB Islamic Bank Bhdn has signed a strategic partnership with PBT Pengerang to provide total e-solutions in managing its payment and collection services. The partnership will boost PBT Pengerang’s capabilities to enable it to tap into new business opportunities.
“RHB Islamic is honoured to be the first cashless solution provider for PBT Pengerang. Through this collaboration, RHB Islamic will be able to provide local businesses and vendors of Bandar Penawar a simple, fast and seamless banking. We will continuously work towards providing our customers with innovative financial solutions to meet their business needs,” said Datuk Adissadikin Ali, Managing Director, RHB Islamic Bank.
“PBT Pengerang strive hard to ensure our taxpayers have access to all payment mediums especially online payments. Out taxpayers do not have to come to our counters and queue to make payments. They should be able to do it from the comfort of their house or office,” said Bukhari Bin Abd Rahman, President, PBT Pengerang.
Through this partnership, RHB Islamic will be providing Financial Chain Solutions to over 40 vendors within the PBT Pengerang Community. Services that RHB Islamic will be providing includes Financial Process Exchange (FPX) for Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B); as well as salary remittance for employees, and in-house transactions for improved cash flow and Corporate Employee Privilege Scheme (CEPS), where employees can enjoy preferential rates, rebates and privileges.
Prior to this collaboration, RHB Islamic Bank’s partnership with PBT Pengerang includes initiatives for Reflex Cash Management, MPOS and Card Terminal, JomPay, RHB Billers, hire purchase for vehicles and computer equipment, working capital and also the set-up of a new RHB Bank branch in support of PBT Pengerang and its employees’ banking needs.
This partnership also sees MSC Cyberport Johor as the portal provider, currently hosting e-Khidmat portal for customers to apply business licenses, checking of assessment status, rental and compound, among others.
“MSC Cyberport, as well as through its MSC status incubator involving some Fintech initiatives shall contribute their solution and domain expertise in this collaboration. This includes Software engineering services in Digital Government, Backend Accounting Integration, Big Data Analytics, IoT(Internet of Things), Cybersecurity and Technologies essential in any smart city development as envisioned by PBT Pengerang,” said Ramlee Jaafar, CEO of MSC Cyberport.
