Supercomnet records its Highest Ever Quarterly PAT of RM9.40 million in Q2FY22

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 August 2022 – Medical devices manufacturer Supercomnet Technologies Berhad’s (“Scomnet” or the “Group”) profit after tax (“PAT”) for the second quarter ended 30 June 2022 (“Q2FY22”) hit a record high of RM9.40 million, when it surged 73.82% from RM5.40 million a year ago.

This was attributed to improved efficiencies, which resulted in better sales of higher margin products, namely in its medical segment. It was further helped by a favourable foreign exchange rate.

Sunway Construction’s Profit Before Tax Jumps Threefold in Q2 2022

Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, 25 August 2022 Sunway Construction Group Berhad (Sunway Construction or Group) is pleased to announce its financial results for the second quarter ended 30 June 2022 (Q2 2022). 

Sunway Construction recorded a set of strong financial performance for the quarter under review. Revenue rose 48.7% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM557.9 million in Q2 2022, from RM375.3 million in the corresponding quarter in the preceding year.  Profit before tax (PBT) jumped 351.7% y-o-y, from RM9.5 million in Q2 2021 to RM43.0 million in Q2 2022. The improved financial performance was due to low base and higher revenue from all segments.

Bursa Malaysia Encourages Better Stakeholder Management & Investor Relations Practices Among Public Listed Companies 3rd

Kuala Lumpur, 23 August 2022 – Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia” or the  “Exchange”) today launched the third PLC Transformation Programme Guidebook entitled  “Strengthening Stakeholder Management & Investor Relations” (“Guidebook 3”). The third  guidebook in the series emphasises the need for public listed companies (PLCs) to enhance  their engagement levels and customise their communication approach to better connect and  build relationships, trust and confidence with shareholders, wider stakeholders and within  the company.  

Guidebook 3 covers distinct aspects of effective stakeholder management and investor  relations (“IR”) as well as crisis communications, when engaging with the many stakeholder  groups of a company. This includes guidance on developing a robust crisis communication approach, operationalising IR as well as examples of good stakeholder management  practices. Adoption of the Guidebook’s recommendation would help create better  understanding of the PLCs among the investor community.
