Malaysia Fashion Week 2017 To Bring Light To Malaysia’s Fashion & Lifestyle Industry 

The Malaysia Fashion Week (MFW) returns for its fourth edition from 18-22 October this year with the theme ‘Art Beyond Fashion’ – The Capsule Collection. In line with the theme, this year’s MFW will be a blending of art and fashion, featuring artistic displays of the many fashion and lifestyle capsule exhibition clusters and galleries, fashion shows by local and international designers, and a showcase of antique Mercedes-Benz cars and TIGA motorcycles, vintage Coca-Cola collectibles and other activities.

To announce this year’s MFW highlights, its organiser, STYLO International held a press conference cum signing ceremony with its main partners and sponsors today.

MIDA And CIMB Co-Host Networking Lunch For Foreign Multinationals And Chambers Of Commerce 

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) together with CIMB Group held a networking lunch with key personnel from leading foreign multinationals and chambers of commerce, and local businesses last week. 

The networking lunch was held at TPC Kuala Lumpur, where the prestigious CIMB Classic 2017 – the only PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf tournament in Southeast Asia – which was being held until 15 October 2017.

BAHTERA 2017 Empowering Bumiputera Entrepreneurs in the South to Expand their Brand and Business on a Global Stage

BAHTERA 2017 (Southern Edition), is a program targeted towards grooming Bumiputera entrepreneurs was launched recently by Chief Minister of Johor, Datuk Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin and witnessed by the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Irwan Serigar bin Abdullah. 

This program is cultivated by the Ministry of Finance along with the National Entrepreneurs Development Office (NEDO), Unit Pembangunan Ekonomi Johor (UPENJ) and Johor Entrepreneur Development Center (EDC) which will be held for two days starting on 14 October 2017 to 15 October 2017.

AICB Partners With Ateneo - Bankers Association of The Philippines Institute of Banking 

The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB)has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Ateneo Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) Institute of Banking (AB-IB) to promote regional professional development in banking education to risk management professionals in the Philippines through AICB’s Bank Risk Management Qualification (BRM Qualification).

Given the growing significance of professional education development in the banking and financial industry, there is a pressing need for banking and financial practitioners to be equipped with the right skills and values to meet the requirements of the new regulatory regimes as well as the rapidly changing banking landscape.
